Cursor

Cursor is a desktop code editor based on VS Code, so most VS Code extensions, themes and keybindings carry over. On top of that it adds AI features that know about your whole project: a chat that can read and cite your files, tab completion that predicts the next edit, and an agent mode that plans a change, edits several files and can run terminal commands.

Teams use it for refactors that touch many files, for writing tests next to existing code, and for reading an unfamiliar codebase by asking questions about it. You can choose between several frontier models in settings.

Before rolling it out, read its privacy mode and data retention settings, check which models your plan allows, and decide how your team reviews agent changes before they reach the main branch.
